Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) 

Bio-identical hormones are structurally identical to those produced naturally by the body.

These can be compounded into a variety of forms including a troche (a lozenge which is placed in the side of the mouth), capsules, pessaries or in a transdermal cream or gel.

BHRT is used as an alternative to conventional therapies for treatment of menopausal symptoms and a decline in hormones associated with ageing.

During menopause there is a decline in the production of progesterone, oestrogen and other hormones and this may result in these symptoms.

Hormone imbalances may result in some women experiencing symptoms such as hot flushes, vaginal dryness, weight gain, sleep disturbance and irritability.

Your doctor will assess your pathology results and recommend a specific regimen for you which is required to bring these levels back in to the normal or premenopausal range.

Troche

• Progesterone
• BiEst (Oestriol and Oestradiol) + Progesterone + Testosterone + DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone)

Transdermal Cream

• TriEst (Oestriol 80% Oestradiol 10% Oestrone 10%) transdermal cream
• BiEst (Oestriol 80% Oestradiol 20%) transdermal cream
• Progesterone transdermal cream
